The Wonderful Women We Work With

During Women’s History Month, we’re honored to celebrate a few of the incredible women who have dedicated their time and talents. These inspiring individuals are just a handful of the many who make our educational programs possible. We are deeply grateful for their support and commitment!

Pam Clifton, a talented artist and educator, regularly participates in our Family Nights, Classroom Speakers Program, and Art Days. Her engaging, interactive performances delight students, sometimes sparking an interest in the world of theater. With over three decades of professional acting and directing experience, Pam has become a mainstay in children's theater through her versatile skills in writing, performing, directing, and teaching. Currently, Pam serves on staff at Dazzle at the Arts Complex, where she coordinates the Intergenerational Program and oversees the newly added Saturday Kids' Matinee programming.

Providing learning opportunities about diverse cultures is vitally important in our multicultural school district. Junko Goodwin is a wonderful and gracious presenter with the Japan America Society of Colorado. Her classroom presentations on A Day in Life of a Student in Japan bring a new perspective on “school” for our students. Junko is also an extremely talented artist who teaches the art of origami at CRI’s Art and Multicultural Days. Her talent is surpassed only by her level of patience with the students. Colorado is fortunate to have nine sister/city partnerships with Japan and Junko is chair of the Broomfield Sister Cities board and helped develop its student exchange program. Her smile and enthusiasm bring joy to each event she attends.

CRI’s Academic Mentors Project is celebrating 40 years of serving DPS students by matching them with accomplished volunteers in their area of interest. Over the decades, we’ve been fortunate to have incredible female veterinarians from VCA Veterinary Hospitals share their time and expertise with students aspiring to pursue careers in veterinary medicine. One of these dedicated mentors is Dr. Srijana Pradhan. She provides her mentees with an inside look at the world of veterinary medicine, offers opportunities to shadow her in clinical and surgical settings, and inspires them to pursue their dreams. We are grateful for her dedication and the impact she makes!

Our Family Nights are made possible thanks to our dedicated volunteers. Ali Sittiseri, a senior at East High School, has been a steadfast supporter of our Family Nights since 2018. In addition to her involvement with our Family Nights, Ali also volunteers at our Family Festivals. Her commitment to community service is evident through her work with various organizations, including National Honors Society, Students Demand Action, Angels on Air, and the East Student Council. Ali's active involvement in these groups demonstrates her dedication to making a positive impact in her community.
